How To Prepare, Our Policy and Aftercare
HOW IS THE SHAPE/COLOR DETERMINED?
Typically, we can discuss this during your initial appointment. If you'd like, you can a photo of your brows ahead of time, and we'll address any questions or concerns. Feel free to share a picture of how you fill them in, so we can understand your preferences and evaluate what adjustments might needed, considering your skin's undertone. Before the procedure, we will outline a shape on your brows and decide together. I recommend coming in with your brows as natural as possible, so there's no need to shape or clean them beforehand.
Who is the ideal candidate for permanent makeup?
Permanent makeup is an excellent choice for busy individuals, including both women and men, who want to maintain a flawless appearance at all times. Those dealing with Alopecia, sparse eyebrows, or patchy brows appreciate our microblading services. Additionally, individuals with sensitive eyes or thin lashes favor permanent eyeliner, while those seeking fuller, more defined lips enjoy lip tinting. It's also a fantastic option for those with oily skin that struggles with makeup retention, as well as athletes, swimmers, and beach enthusiasts who want their look to stay intact during physical activities, along with anyone looking to enhance their confidence!
What is Microblading?
Microblading is a semi-permanent makeup technique often referred to as eyebrow embroidery, micro stroking, feather touch, or micro-pigmentation. Unlike conventional cosmetic tattooing that uses a machine, microblading is performed with a manual handheld tool featuring a linear grouping of fine needles. These needles deposit pigment into the epidermis, mimicking the natural hair growth and creating a flawless, fuller brow.
What distinguishes microblading from powder brows?
Microblading offers a soft and natural appearance once healed, which is ideal for some clients. However, if you're looking for a bolder look or have or problematic skin, a powder brow might be the better choice for you! We can discuss these options further during your appointment!
What is a Fusion Brow?
A fusion brow combines microblading with either manual shading or machine shading techniques.
How long does permanent makeup last?
Permanent makeup is designed to be long-lasting, typically fading gradually over a period of 1 to 3 years. As you get used to your look, you may find yourself wanting more. To maintain a fresh appearance, we suggest scheduling a retouch every 1 to2 years. Darker shades, like black eyeliner, tend to endure the longest, while softer, natural colors may be more affected by sun exposure, swimming, and your skin's natural oils.
What is the recovery time?
There is no downtime; you can resume work immediately after your eyebrow, eyeliner, or lip procedure. Some swelling and minor scabbing may occur on the lips and eyes, as well as the eyebrows. Initially, your color may appear 20-30% more intense than the final result, which will settle after about a week. Complete healing of the skin typically takes around six days, and clients often report feeling ready to tackle their day without any discomfort. To schedule an appointment, please use the online booking system available on this website. Once bookings are open, a calendar will be visible in the booking section. A non-refundable and non-transferable deposit is necessary to secure your appointment, which can be paid using any major credit card. The remaining balance can be settled on the day of the procedure via cash or credit card.
WHY ARE TWO APPOINTMENTS NECESSARY?
After your initial appointment, your brows will appear quite bold and significantly darker than the final result. Over the week, the color will fade considerably. While some clients may enjoy this softer look, others may prefer a more defined appearance. It's normal for the pigment to seem to fade at times, so patience is key. You might experience uneven healing during the first session. The second appointment allows us to assess the color, evaluate how your skin is reacting to the pigment, and make necessary adjustments. Additional touch-ups may be required for clients with very oily or problematic skin, darker pigmentation, or those who didn’t adhere to aftercare instructions (refer to "after care"). Microblading typically requires at least two appointments.
Can I apply makeup after the procedure?
It's important to maintain cleanliness in the treated area to prevent bacteria buildup, so you should avoid applying any other makeup over your permanent makeup for one week following the procedure. However, you can continue to use your usual makeup on areas where permanent makeup was not applied.
